Punjab Himmat Card 2026: Eligibility, Rs10,500 Quarterly Stipend & Status Check

Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department, Government of Punjab

Himmat Card is an ongoing Punjab social-welfare programme for eligible Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) assessed as 'Not Fit to Work'. The official FAQ states a quarterly stipend of Rs10,500 and eligibility conditions including Punjab CNIC, PWD certification by Social Welfare Punjab, no government/private employment, no simultaneous financial assistance from BISP/PSPA/Zakat and PMT score not exceeding 45. The current official dashboard shows 99,354 beneficiaries against a 100,000 target and provides online Himmat Card status verification by CNIC. The programme does not operate like a normal open cash-grant application: PWD registration/data must be complete and eligible beneficiaries are shortlisted through the department's system.

Detailed information

This is not a standard open-application grant

The department's current FAQ describes automated shortlisting of eligible PWD records rather than a conventional first-step Himmat Card application form. The official DPMIS provides PWD registration/data updating and a separate Himmat Card CNIC verification page. PakRelief should therefore avoid telling users that entering a CNIC on a third-party form is an official application.

Current beneficiary batches

The official dashboard currently reports 99,354 beneficiaries out of a displayed target of 100,000. It lists Batch 1: 40,000; Batch 2: 24,982; Batch 3-A: 19,733; and Batch 3-B: 14,639. These figures are live/time-sensitive and should be refreshed before publication.

Payment problems caused by expired CNIC

The official verification page warns that some top-up payments fail because the beneficiary's CNIC has expired. The stated resolution is to renew the CNIC through NADRA, complete biometric proof-of-life with a Bank of Punjab agent, and provide the renewed CNIC number to the relevant department.

First-come/clean-data shortlisting

The FAQ says the first 65,000 beneficiaries with clean and clear data meeting the specified criteria were shortlisted on a first-come, first-served basis and that people outside that group may be considered if the government expands future batches. The current dashboard now shows substantially more than 65,000 beneficiaries, confirming later expansion.

Conflicting legacy date in the FAQ

One FAQ answer still says the programme was approved until June 2025. That statement is clearly stale relative to the same department's 2026 Himmat Card operations, 2026 Social Welfare updates, the current beneficiary dashboard and Punjab's 2025-26 development allocation. PakRelief should flag the stale line rather than presenting June 2025 as the current programme end date.

No current closing date found

No official current deadline for entering/updating PWD data or for Himmat Card consideration was found. Since the programme uses departmental records and batches, PakRelief should not invent an 'apply before' date.

Frequently asked questions

The current official FAQ states Rs10,500 per quarter for each eligible beneficiary.

Who is eligible?

A Punjab PWD certified by Social Welfare Punjab, assessed Not Fit to Work, not employed, not receiving listed parallel financial assistance, and with PMT score up to 45, subject to departmental verification.

How do I apply?

The department does not present Himmat Card as a normal public cash-grant form. PWDs should ensure their official DPMIS registration/data are complete and use the Himmat Card Verification page to check status/eligibility.

How do I check my Himmat Card status?

Use the official Himmat Card Verification page and enter the PWD's 13-digit CNIC.

Why has my payment not arrived?

Payments are quarterly. The official portal also warns that an expired CNIC can block a top-up; renew the CNIC and follow the stated biometric/payment-resolution steps.

Is Himmat Card only for Punjab?

Yes. The official FAQ says it is currently for eligible PWDs residing in Punjab with a Punjab-registered CNIC.

Has the programme ended?

No current official evidence supports treating it as ended. Although one legacy FAQ line mentions June 2025, the same official system shows active 2026 operations and a current beneficiary dashboard.
